Sarah is excited to share her personal experiences and knowledge of fitness and CrossFit as well as health and nutrition with those around her.

Mike Haraf

Qualifications:
Crossfit Level 1
USAW Level 1
CrossFit Coaches Prep
CrossFit Gymnastics

Bio: Mike's journey into CrossFit evolved after years of sports, training, and working out. His decision to use CrossFit as his primary training source was fueled by the variety, intensity and competitive edge he felt with the workouts. Growing up, Mike was always active with varying sports and activities. He began wrestling at the age of 7 and continued his wrestling career into high school and then college. Mike credits wrestling for teaching him discipline and hard work. Soon after his personal wrestling career concluded, he ventured into the world of running and triathlons. Over the past several years, Mike has trained and competed in numerous road races and triathlons of varying distances, from 5k's to an Ironman. Mike is always seeking out ways to challenge himself and maintain the best level of fitness possible. Finding one’s own limits and pushing them in every aspect of personal fitness is something Mike expects out of himself and everyone he trains. He is excited to have the opportunity to be a partner of Stone Age CrossFit and to share his passion for CrossFit with others through coaching.

Brendan Kelly

Qualifications:
Crossfit Level 1
USAW Level 1
Crossfit Kids

Bio: I've exercised and played sports my entire life. When I retired from men's club rugby and pretty much all organized sports, I was missing something. I kept training the usual programs you'd see in Muscle & Fitness but never really got anywhere. Then in 2007, a friend of mine at the firehouse introduced me to Crossfit. After I argued with him about our philosophical differences in our approach to fitness, I decided to give it a try. It was EXACTLY what I was looking for. During my first workout, I was blown away by how physically challenging it was. I thought I was in pretty good shape. Then I realized the mental aspect of Crossfit, getting through the moment of self-doubt, unsure whether or not you can even finish, was even more important! As I dug deeper into Crossfit, I got so much stronger and more fit. After years of training in my garage and studying Crossfit, I decided it was time to become a better athlete and get certified to be a trainer. In 2012, I got my Level 1 cert and learned during the group workout how much I missed the camaraderie of achieving a common goal with your peers. From that point on, I knew I had to become a trainer and share my experience with as many people I could reach. Crossfit is just too good not to share. I was a trainer at a local box for about a year and a half and left to join these guys to form Stone Age Crossfit. We proudly serve the local community, in which most of us were born and raised, and strive to bring them up to a high level of fitness, safely and thoughtfully.

Matt Wilson

Qualifications:
Crossfit Level 1
USAW Level 1

Bio:
Matt's love for fitness started at a young age when he started playing organized sports like football, baseball, wrestling, hockey, soccer, boxing, and rugby. Later in Matt's life, fitness became a bigger part of his life when he joined the military. While serving in the Navy, he was introduced to CrossFit and never looked back. He started training fellow shipmates onboard his ship while on deployment and that's where he realized he needed to become a trainer. He loved to see others improve and see results every day and liked being the one to help them get there. When he returned home from deployment in December 2012, he received his Level 1 Trainer certificate. He continued using CrossFit in his garage, training family and friends and then moved onto Stone Age CrossFit in October 2013.

Sarah Benner

Qualifications:
Crossfit Level 1
CrossFit Coaches Prep
USAW L1

Bio:
I have always loved being part of a team and competing. However, after college, I never made sports and fitness a priority. Working out was something I did when I had time. When I started CrossFit on August 12, 2013, my entire life changed. Fitness, competing, being part of team became important, once again. In addition, CrossFit and the CrossFit community, specifically Stone Age CrossFit, has helped realize an inner strength I never knew I had. It is for these reasons I decided to become a CrossFit coach. I want to give back to the sport and the community which has done so much for me, not only physically, but emotionally, mentally, and socially. I am more than honored to be a part of the incredible community that CrossFit offers and there is no better place to coach than Stone Age CrossFit.

Tracy Haraf

Qualifications:
CrossFit Level 1
CrossFit Kids

Bio:
CrossFit Kids is the ‘best of both worlds’ for me since it combines two of my passions.... working with children and CrossFit! Once I became involved in CrossFit myself, it inspired me to get my CrossFit Level 1 and CrossFit Kids certifications to help our children. I truly enjoy working with children and inspiring them to make healthier choices in a world where that is very difficult! I work with kids on a daily basis as a teacher, and I see the need for a life-long love for fitness.Over the years I have worked with children of all ages and in many different settings, as a site director, tutor, running coach and elementary school teacher. For the past eight years, I have been teaching in a local elementary school and I hold certificates in Special Education, Elementary Education and Physical Education. Most recently, I am working as a P.E. teacher there! I am excited to take this step to help children acquire a love for CrossFit. The commitment to our children’s future is crucial and there has never been a more critical time to teach our children the importance of physical activity and what it means to live a healthy lifestyle. We are excited that you have chosen Stone Age CrossFit Kids to be part of the path, as CrossFit has changed lives immeasurably for the better. With your child, we are not only able to potentially enhance their lives, but we have the opportunity to shape their lives and realities within them. We are passionate and committed to this endeavor. Your child’s safety and opportunity to enhance their personal lives are our primary focus.
